Start playing with small bets
This may consistent winner seem obvious to most, but my experience has taught me two things. Firstly, many players start small, say in 0.25/0.50 limit hold’em, but then lose their temper or worse, go to TILT and quickly increase the stakes, which they play well before they can to specifically determine your percentage of winning or, more likely, losing. An experienced player may be able to play these hands profitably, but for an inexperienced player, the best advice is to limit this situation by playing very tight and avoiding these situations as much as possible.
